Joe Kinnear’s Mouth Causes More Problems For Newcastle

By: chris | January 30th, 2009

The rant heard round the world, the “Mickey Mouse” comment which earned him a measly fine earlier in the week and now the straw that broke Insomnia….N’somb…..Charlie’s back. If – and that seems a big if – Kinnear stays on as manager after the year, Mike Ashley just might request he wear a muzzle.

You can check out Joe’s inability to pronounce Charles N’Zogbia’s name in the video at this link, roundabout the 2:18 mark. A little stumble which N’zogbia’s seen as a giant insult.

“First of all I wish to apologise to the fans for wanting to leave the club,” the 22-year-old Frenchman said in a statement.

“However, having been insulted by Joe Kinnear, I will never play for him again while he remains Newcastle manager.

Since Charlie got the first of all, I’ll take the second of all: Charlie’s a @#$%ing idiot, to take a page out of Joe’s book.

Joe’s explanation seems awfully legit – that mispronouncing player names is a favorite pastime of his – given how well things have come out of his mouth since the start of his Newcastle tenure. Impossible to blame him. Everybody gets tongue-tied every now and again.

N’zogbia’s been throwing his panties at Arsenal since at least last summer and would now play for either Brazil or Italy love, love, love to pick up a paycheck at Lyon. Oh, and Aston Villa would also be a dream move. Suffice it to say Joe could’ve rattled off the correctly pronounced names of his entire family, right down to his sixth cousins, and it wouldn’t have made the slightest difference. This was nothing more than an excuse for N’zogbia to force his way out.

If I ran Newcastle I’d print out shirts that say “N’sombogbia” on the back and make him play out the year in the reserves. But I suppose that’s precisely why I’m not running a football club.

This isnt a problem for newcastle at all. Taylor for Nzogbia? Thats a brilliant move for newcastle. Get rid of an overrated showoff and bring in a defender who is deadly on set pieces. Bruce is losing the plot.
  • N'Zogbia's just shown himself up to be a complete weasel. I hope Football Managers are taking note of his attitude

It looks like he is going to Wigan, with Ryan Taylor going the opposite way
