Eh, the loss is not a big deal. Just a friendly, and you can see from his six subs that Loew was obviously more interested in feeling out his options.

Besides, Germany beat 'em in their capital last year -- only fitting they should return the favor.

Young goalkeepers' development? What?! He didn't have to start, just a little run out, have him involved him in some way, would be better than nothing. I expected a little more class. He must have rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.

Lehmann would have probably floored Defoe and gotten a red card. Kahn would have definitely have floored Defoe, won the ball, and yelled at the referee for not giving Defoe a foul. Adler was a bit naive, but then again so was Carson. They both learned tonight.
