Julio Baptista + Super Mario Bros. = Great YouTube Video
By: Daryl | August 17th, 2008There are approximately 50 million billion footballer highlight videos on YouTube right now. I know because I counted. A lot of them are great to watch: brilliant footballers doing brilliant things. But very few of these vids have much to offer in the way of originality. At least half of them are set to that damn “10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of will” song.
Which makes this Super Mario Bros. interpretation of Julio Baptista’s career (spotted on Roma Offside) the most original bit of YouTubing in a long time.
This can’t be the only clever clever football-related YouTube video out there, can it? If you know of a vid with a twist to it, then please drop a link in the comments and we’ll work on compiling a list of the smartest and most original YouTube footy videos of all time.

nice vid. but there needed the dying sound a lot more in the “underwater” level. btw, that 10 % skill or whatever song seems like it was made especially for youtube soccer videos.
