Kung Fu Meets Czech Football

By: chris | September 25th, 2008

This is Jiří Kladrubský, a 22 yo left back for Sparta Praha, one time Czech NT participant and wannabe kung fu artist. His victim is Tomas Jun, forward for FK Teplice and formerly of Sparta. He also now features a pounding headache, maybe even a couple stitches, and a severe distaste for roundhouse kicks. The astounding part about all this, aside from Jiri’s clinical form, is there was no card, no penalty, no nothin’, despite the ball being right freakin’ there. Just a lot of Tylenol for Tomas.

Close up of the incident set to appropriate soundtrack below.

  • Reminds me of this classy move from (fortunately ex-)Corinthians player Iran: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

That one did get a card, though. And a penalty.

May want to go ahead and at least call dangerous play on that one.
  • Almost as bad as the Pogatetz tackle. At least this one was careless and accidental, not malicious.

OUCH! But it was a good no call.
