Leeds Fans Steal ITV’s Microphone (NSFW)

Nice little moment from Histon vs Leeds Utd in the FA Cup Second Round on Saturday, which was broadcast on ITV. Leeds fans managed to steal an ITV microphone and get a good chant of “ITV is f*cking sh*t” going (sans asterisks of course) before a panicked producer cut the sound.

As Off the Post points out, Leeds fans didn’t complain about ITV during their 2001 Champions League run. And they won’t get chance to complain about ITV again this year either, because non-league Histon won the game 1-0.

ITV had to apologise for letting the eff word get on air, and then had to apologise again when they accidentally showed a Histon player naked later in the same broadcast. Not a good day at the office for ITV.

Histon’s reward for the win sadly wasn’t a trip to Old Trafford or Anfield, but a home game against Swansea City.
