Ligue 1: Matchday 1 Fixtures & TV Stations (US)
By: Sarah | August 7th, 2010
That’s right, Ligue 1 kick-off is scheduled to start in just a short amount of time. And for American fans who thought they would be relegated to watching feeds online all season, there is some good news. Two channels will be showing Ligue 1 this year, allowing fans to see (up to) four games a weekend. It’s not perfect, but it is a lot better than the end of last year (after Setanta no longer serviced American audiences).
Saturday (All kick-offs at 21:00 CET, 3PM EST)
AJ Auxerre VS Lorient (Stade Abbe-Deschamps, Auxerre)
Lens VS AS Nancy Lorraine (Stade Felix-Bollaert, Lens)
Lyon VS AS Monaco (Stade de Gerland, Lyon)
Marseille VS Caen (Stade Vélodrome, Marseille) – Watch it on TV5 Monde!
Nice VS Valenciennes (Municipal du Ray, Nice)
Paris Saint-Germain VS St Etienne (Parc des Princes, Paris) – Watch it on Fox Soccer Plus!
Sochaux VS Arles (Stade Bonal, Sochaux)
Stade Rennes VS Lille (Stade de la Route-de-Lorient)
Toulouse VS Brest Parc Municipal des Sports (Toulouse Stadium)
Sunday (kick-off at 21:00 CET, 3PM EST)
Montpellier VS Bordeaux (Stade de la Mosso, Montpellier) – TBD (Fox Soccer Plus had this on their schedule yesterday, but has since removed it.)
Fans shouldn’t be discouraged by the lack of games (only 2) showing this weekend- typically, the games are split on weekends between both Saturday and Sunday with less games playing simultaneously).
