I have to respectfully disagree with some of you guys. At this time last year, CR7 was probably THE most complete soccer player anywhere. He could dribble, pass, free kicks, jump/head, shoot, you name it. Doesn’t change the fact he was a d-bag, but he was pretty amazing.

That being said, I always preferred Messi because I loved his energy. I remember a few years back, Messi was tripped and even as he was going down, he was already positioning his body to maximize how quickly he got back on his feet.

Messi is easily one of the best players currently playing; I’d list him number one if I had to choose!

Amazing! Right now he is simply the best player in the world. I also love how simple he keeps his game. No stupid step over or hot dog moves. He just goes directly at the defenders. And his work rate and attitude are fantastic. We are watching history I the making here folks. If he stays healthy he will become a legend.

Wow, yesterday’s match was a damn spectacle in my opinion, and it was all thanks to Messi-dona. The way he pulled his moves to weave around the Atletico defenders was simply stunning.

Best part of the commentary on GOLTV was when he scored his first goal of that brilliant pass from Dani Alves found Messi and the one commentator said “…and the pass to Messi, and Coupet is French toast.” Worth a chuckle in my opinion.
