Lomana LuaLua Lives!

By: Martha | January 22nd, 2008

Having been replaced by his kid brother at Newcastle and fallen out with Harry Redknapp at Pompey, Lomana LuaLua moved on to Greece, where he’s doing things like playing in the Champions League, and scoring absolutely sick goals for Olympiakos. The one above (a clip of just the goal is here) came in the sixth minute of last week’s domestic cup match against bitter rivals Panathinaikos, a game that was played out in front of a rabid crowd made up entirely of Olympiakos supporters and turned into a massive party when the home side ran out as 4-0 winners. Check out that crowd — St. James’ Park ain’t got nothing on Karaiskakis Stadium.

I remember watching Portsmouth play Chelsea last season and thinking that LuaLua looked like the most dangerous man on the pitch.

Chelsea will say hello to DIARRA, DIARRA, DIARRA and Johnson in a couple of weeks. Hopefully Muntari after his ACN stunning opener will still be in Ghana!!!

Seriously nice. (And Oly fans can get…enthusiastic, yeah, especially when their boys are beating the snot out of Panathinaikos. This goes double in a season like this one where both Oly/PAO league games have been draws.)
