Looking for Egyptian Football Bloggers

By: Daryl | March 15th, 2008

Plenty of Egyptian football news lately. There was the Africa Cup of Nations triumph, the El-Hadary to Sion saga and most recently Al-Ahly’s 2-0 win over Zamalek. More big news is that national team captain and all round skillmeister Ahmed Hassan might be leaving Anderlecht and taking his considerable talents (see video) back to the Egyptian league.

So we’re looking for Egyptian football bloggers. If you’ve got a passion for Egyptian soccer, and you want to blog about a specific team like Al-Ahly or Zamalek then we might be able to set you up with a team blog here on The Offside.

It’s not a paid position, but it is a lot of fun. I promise. And you’d be giving Egyptian football a big voice in the English language blogosphere. So if you’re interested then please send an email to daryl[at]theoffside.com and let me know which team you’d like to blog about and why you’d be great.

It would be good if you can get some bloggers from Egypt to give us a different viewpoint. I would be particularly interested if there could be some bloggers for Zamalek.
