Marlon King: 18 Months Hard Time & A Sex Offender.

Well, what was a comic divee into the ego of the professional footballer has turned into an an incredible hammer blow from the British justice system. Marlon “Do you know who I am?” King was found guilty of both sexual assault and causing actual bodily harm for groping a girl and then breaking her nose when she didn’t respond in kind. So Marlon fought the law and the law won, to the tune of 18 months hard time, registration on the sex offender’s list and a swiftly canceled contract by Wigan Athletic (or so says Dave Whelan on Sky), potentially ending his career.

There is no indication as to whether there will be an added sentence for telling women they’re out of his league despite looking like an aborted fetus.

The latest revelation in the case may even trump his “Do you know who I am? I’m a millionaire.” line which will tag along him like an annoying Siamese twin the rest of his life. King was at the bar that night celebrating…wait for it…his wife’s pregnancy.

He was celebrating two occasions – his wife’s latest pregnancy and the scoring of a winning goal – with a night out in the West End.

King was repeatedly “cold-shouldered” by women in the bar, the court heard, and lost his temper.

This would hopefully just nominate Marlon for biggest scumbag alive, and not serve as an indicator for the perceived liberties afforded sport playing employees of the much too overhyped Premiership. Truth is it probably lies somewhere in the middle, which is unfortunate, but hopefully such a sentence will serve to warn a few next time they’re out on the town (lookin’ at you, Tottenham).

So Marlon gets to enjoy this little lesson in prison, where he’ll be in everyone’s league, and when he’s released the world see his face plastered everywhere as a sex offender.
