Messi Hurt, Real Supporters Secretly Rejoice

By: Martha | December 17th, 2007

Barcelona beat Valencia 3-0 yesterday to keep pace with Real Madrid, who they trail by four points at the top of La Liga heading into this season’s first Clasico, to be played on Sunday. Barca fans were not exactly euphoric after the match, though, having seen The Messiah (AKA Lionel Messi) limp off the at the end of the first half with a thigh injury that will keep him out for a month. That giant sucking sound you just heard? Every single Real supporter letting out a huge sign of relief.

Barca along with every non - Real fan is going to miss him for the next month. Get better soon, barca and La Liga is lost without you.

He does get hurt often, though. Don’t get me wrong, he’s sweet to watch, but I wonder how he’d do in the English premiership. Not sure he’s tough enough.
