Sam: I’d be curious as to why you are not a believer in Harrington. He’s been scouted quite positively, showed a knack for finishing during the preseason, and was exactly who the Wizards’ front office wanted with their top pick.

Sabin: I think the Wizard’s chances will be hurt after having traded solid center back Shavar Thomas when Conrad is gone. The silver lining here, however, is that Onalfo must feel as though he has a youngster who will fill in nicely. For now I’ll keep my faith in him, but to be honest, Kansas City fans are nervous about Conrad’s time away.

Clint: I think the Wizards are perhaps a more tangable mascot than the “Wiz”. Merlin is much easier to envision on the pitch than, say, a smarter-than-average 4th grader. Or the act of, erm, urinating.

Yeah, why the name change? I loved the “Wiz” and it had a built-in slogan for the team… NOBODY beats the Wiz! (apologies to non-Nie Yorkers)

If Conrad turns out to be playing a lot for the U.S. National team, what do you think the Wizard’s chances are without him? I’m interested, because Revs face the same possibilities with Twellman and Reis (not as likely).

Conrad is definitely the best: Hartman won’t be anything spectacular however.
