I know Ronaldo has a lot of injuries as of late, but I still think he will tear up the league like no other striker in the history of MLS if he came here. He scored every other game last year for AC Milan and there are many teams that would take the risk because he is still a very talented strike. Ruud just said he was the best striker ever. So is he injure yes but past his prime....maybe a little but still better than Pavon, Buddle, and Gordon put together and then much more

As a Celtic fan, I will personally pay for Zurawski's flight to the US.

Thanks, Joe. The interview with the Poland coach about Zurawski needing to play had made the English-language papers, and I'd heard about the agent/non-agent thing, but the four offers are news to me.

And I'd agree with you about Guzan and Arsenal, but that is the rumor in the news. I somehow can't see him replacing Mad Jens, though.

Yes, unfortunately [for most of your readers] the link is in Polish.

http://www.sport.pl/pilka/1,65046,4779508.html

However, the gist is that

A) The LA rumors were started by Zurawski's agent--who isn't in fact his agent but merely a friend (and who has been known in the past to speak about players who had contracts with other agents)

B) His REAL agent, when interviewed by this media outlet (which is reliable when it does its own reports, as is the case here), stated that Zurawski has four offers. He wouldn't specify where they are from, but when asked specifically if one of them was from MLS, he didn't rule it out. He also said that Zurawski was likely to in fact leave in the January transfer window.

The Polish paper then points out that LA is an unlikely destination, referring to Lalas's recent denials.

Finally, the paper mentions two of the other clubs that Zurawski's been linked with - Anderlecht (Belgium) and Nurmberg (Bundesliga).

It's also worth pointing out that the same outlet had an interview a few days ago with Poland's national team coach who stated that he's talked with Zurawski about a potential move to the U.S. (stating it wouldn't prevent him from being selected from the team). So, it seems that his links with MLS aren't just hot air...

Joe, do you have a link for that? This would make me happy. When the Galaxy rumors were hot and heavy, I started feeling all kinds of sympathy for him as he's trying to get ready for Euros without seeing playing time at Celtic. I'd like to see him somewhere happy and playing.

It appears Zurawski may still be coming to MLS - just not LA. The likely (logical) location would be Chicago who would fill their stadium to the brim with a Zurawski/Blanco (Polish/Mexican) tandem.

I don't understand MLS salary rules, but it seems there are always ways to get around them if that need be the case in Chicago...

Okay, see, what happened was? I was on a 1:00 deadline. It was 12:46. And my mom called to talk about Christmas presents. Twice. Post goes up as is. It was getting long anyway.

Version 2.0 will feature both incoming (such as US players in Europe who are talking about coming back) and outgoing. Last I heard, Jozy was still being noncommittal, but I'm thinking he won't leave this year. Everything Osorio is saying about plans implies that Jozy will be around next year. Guzan I wouldn't be surprised to see leave. Arsenal would be interesting, but would be a HUGE leap. I'd think something more interim. Parkhurst I'm not sure.

Now that you've asked about them specifically, I'll be sure to report what I find next time around.

What about players transferring OUT of MLS? Is Michael Parkhurst still headed to Fulham? What about Brad Guzan and Jozy Altidore?
