Mudball: Football in a Sinking Bog
By: Daryl | November 13th, 2008It’s been a while since we bought you a variation on the beautiful game like motoball (soccer on motorcycles) or fireball football (self explanatory). But we finally have a new one. All thanks to the good people of Finland and their wonderful sport of mudball.
It’s a game of football, only muddier. Much muddier. Because it’s played on top of a big sinking bog that wants to swallow you. If you stand still, you sink. If you run after the ball, you sink. Pretty much whatever you do, you sink.
It’s the ultimate levelller. A field where C-Ron’s tricks would be no advantage and he probably wouldn’t want to play anyway because he’d get covered in mud. Try and ignore the impossibly annoying talking heads in the video, and feast your eyes on some mudball action.

Wow, the “comedians” on that should have given up before they started, most of those jokes were insultingly stupid and painful. And yeah, isn’t it slightly dangerous to play in the Finnish equivalent of quicksand?
