Nani is Flippin’ Brilliant
By: Daryl | June 2nd, 2007One of Manchester United’s new wonderkids gave us a nice little preview today, scoring the opening goal in Portugals’ 2-1 win over Belgium.
Not only was this a great goal by Nani (the boy with the old ladies nickname) but the celebration was absolutely incredible. It’s not just a flip, it’s a double flip with some sort of twisty turny showboating thrown in for good measure. Oh, to be young and impossibly limber.

Nani needs space to create. Awesome goal, love the player, but the Premier League has defenders that will be on top of him so fast. I like the Anderson move, but Nani will probably take some time to develop and really get used to the speed of the league.

So yeah, we definitely need a name for that move. Is it some sort of sow-cow? I don’t know what a sow-cow is, but whenever people do weird flips, I call it a sow-cow, so that’s all I’ve got.
