Needed: FIFA 08 Players for The Offside Cup!

You, yes you, could be the proud winner of The FIFA 08 Offside Cup!

Dave, a self-proclaimed FIFA 08 addict from RBNY Offside, is organizing a FIFA ‘08 Tournament.

Here are the rules, cut and pasted directly from his post:

We will be looking into the following:

#1 - We will need, at the very least, 8 players in the tournament. At the very most, 32. If more, we have contingency plans.

#2 - 5 minute halves

#3 - 4 STAR CLUBS and LOWER (unless everyone wants to play international) - This will keep the playing field more level.

#4 - CLUB TEAMS ONLY (again, only if we dont play an international tournament)

#5 - All rules AND injuries WILL be on.

#6 - Team selection will be based on a first come, first served basis. If you want the Red Bulls, you have to specify IMMEDIATELY with your gamertag.

#7 -Groups will be randomly drawn (and I will video tape the random drawing if necessary lol)

Format ideas vary upon participation.

We need either 8, 16, or 32 players. If we are blessed with more, we have contingency plans.

Depending on size, we can be looking at a ONE DAY KNOCK OUT TOURNEY or a more drawn out WORLD CUP style GROUP ELIMINATION into PLAYOFFS format. Its all up to you.

  Just to let everyone know, the five star rule may be flexible (we are still deciding on that). If thats the case, pick your first team as a fiver in case, and the second beneath 4.
