Nekkid Grannies are Fundraising Gold

Nekkid grannie.Let’s say you’re in charge of Ancaster Athletic, a youth football team in Lincolnshire, England, and you need to raise a bit of cash to get their boys their kits, oranges at halftime, training bibs — that sort of thing. What do you do? Why, a (super, super classy) nuddie calendar, of course, featuring the mothers of players, the odd town councilwoman and, of course, the requisite 101-year-old granny.

Ms. Nora Hardwick is clearly anything but the shy, retiring type: She still likes a bit of drink now and again (for her photo, she posed behind the bar of her local pub), and is, apparently “up for anything,” at least as long as it involves charity and is “tastefully done.” No worries, then, about exposing the Ancaster lads to things they’re way too young to see when they flip their calendar to November — Nora’s girlie bits are hidden by the bar and her only item of clothing: A scarf, draped casually about her shoulders. Whew.

The team hope to sell about 4000 of the calendars but, given that a Google search for the club name brings up articles in about 10 different languages, they may end up having to print some extras for the masses who will want to help out. However many are sold, though, three will surely go to Nora’s loving and approving children, mere babes at 80, 76 and 62.
