Next Act: A Rabbit on a Moped
By: Bob | July 16th, 2007
There are numerous ways to show your support for your club. You could buy season tickets, wear the club colors, blog about the team for The Offside and, of course, throw a rabbit onto the pitch.
Via Deadspin:
In the latest example of idiocy on the terraces, a 52 year old AC Milan supporter is currently being prosecuted for throwing a rabbit towards the pitch during the Milan Derby on March 11, 2007, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian sports daily reports that the creature had its four legs tied together and was inscribed with the legend “Coniglio nerazzurro”, or “Red-and-black Rabbit.” Suitably attired, the rabbit was propelled from the lower tier to the sidelines.
The rabbit tosser faces up to four years in jail and a fine of 10,000 Euros. A more suitable punishment would be for him to have to stand on a lower tier on the San Siro while Inter fans incorporate moped tossing into their cheers.

And when that happened, laws were in place to limit what supporters could bring into the ground. Just so you know how well-enforced these things are.
