Most kit choices these days are a matter of preference: adidas for something a little more classic, Nike for some technical perfection and an eye to the future, and Puma, for something closer to what you would’ve loved as a child. Others are dotted in between*, but those are the big ones at the moment.

Nike released their 2013 line and they are quietly excellent, particularly those from the Netherlands and Portugal. (Because nations with football quality disproportionate to their respective populations need that nice, clean look.) The Portuguese gents look as though they’re primed for a medieval battle, while the Dutchmen – well, theirs was released in a museum. Quite the contrast.
