Nobody Respects Interviews Anymore.
By: chris | March 20th, 2009Remember when interviews were a big deal and interviewers themselves the bee’s knees? Long time has passed since then and now they’re just a playground for immature hijinks and team moral building – not that we’re complaining, mind you.
First up is Robbie Savage of…someone these days. (Right, Derby.) He’s back after a loan to somewhere else and was being interviewed by Sky Sports this morning for some reason or another – we’ll assume it was the hair. Stephen Bywater took this as the perfect opportunity to play a trick on a marooned Robbie. Trick’s nice, but watch Robbie’s face and eyes as he spies unavoidable impending doom creeping towards him. Classic.
Next up is Scott Brown and Darren O’Dea, what looks to have been back in late February by their schedule. Brown’s in the seat and O’Dea decides to gatecrash the party in goggles and flippers as a wobbly Scuba Steve. No doubt down after drawing Motherwell, they went on to win the next fixture 7-0. You can talk tactics and transfer kitties all you like, but nothing builds team morale and quality equivalent to dressing up like an idiot.
Genius, I say.
Ah, the modern athlete. Never one to pass up a chance to prank a teammate.
