Not All Football Lookalikes Are Rubbish

For the most part, I’m not a fan of football lookalikes. It’s true, some people look like other people and or things. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s funny. Actually, I may have bored everyone with this rant once already.

But seeing a series of lookalikes gathered together into a video raises the bar a bit. Not just because each tiny chuckle builds on the last one, but also because some of these – from Football365 – are both absurd and mean at the same time.

My personal favourite is the Mikael Silvestre / Potato one. Not sure why. Maybe because it’s blatantly untrue on one level, but absolutely correct on another.

Wow, I had to look at the pics for a minute to figure out which one was Sol Campbell and which one was Tupac!

A lot of these were poor, basing the lookalike on the hair - eg ross noble...

However, I liked the Marlon Harewood one and Dirk Kuyt was quite good. I have been saying about Pennant and John Legend for years (they both also look like Kieran Richardson and Mika (sp?) from Heroes!

And Andy Johnson looks like nothing like max branning, and actually looks more like David Beckham - he has his eyes!!! Anyone else noticed this? Or just my family?

P.S. On the Silvestre one? It's because they had to pick just the right potato.
