Offside Rewind: Celebration Time.

* – Question for the ladies: Is it smart to play sports with a belly button ring in? My first thought is nay, which is why I always take mine out. (The fine young lass in the above picture has one if you look at a bigger frame, hence the question.)

On that last one, based on regulation alone players are supposed to remove all kinds of jewelry from their bodies. How strongly this is enforced I don’t know, but it’s for the player’s (and other player’s safety).

Wouldn’t want someone to rip out your nose ring during a scuffle…

While it is regulation to remove jewelry, the hole for a belly-button ring can begin to close up in under an hour, so I know some girls who leave theirs in but tape them down.
