One of these Goals is not like the others

By: Bob | October 22nd, 2007

One of the things that MLS does right, in my opinion, is that they package the week’s best goals, slap on a soft drink label, and release the video to the Internet masses. This week’s goals of the week feature a number of pedestrian efforts, but is worth watching for the last goal — a 60-yard wonder strike by the New England Revolution’s Michael Parkhurst against Toronto FC. The goal was the first in Parkhurst’s MLS career and a worthy addition to the long-range goals annals.

The really funny thing was that Dichio’s got the Goal of the Week! Toronto’s huge fanbase probably decided to choose their team over the better goal.
