Ooh! Look! Another CR7 Store! Now You, Too, Can Dress Like This!

By: Laurie | October 10th, 2008

Gentlemen, would you wear these shoes? How about this “belt with diamante buckle”?

Seriously? Like, out in public? When it’s not Halloween?

Cristiano Ronaldo apparently believes that you will. Or at least that somebody will. Because he has now opened his second CR7 store.

Yes, second. I’ll give you just a moment to let that sink in.

Somehow I missed the opening of the first, in Manchester, a store which apparently opened its doors in ‘06. (You remember. The winking year.) But fortunately for all of us, he has now opened a store in Lisbon, so we can all look at the photos and experience the joy, at least vicariously.

Okay, granted, as I have discussed here before, my fashion sense is not exactly trustworthy. (I blame Barbie for being such a vacuous twit.) But I still don’t quite understand why, if I were a guy, I’d want to dress like Cristiano Ronaldo. I mean, let’s be honest here. It’s not as if you have to dress nice to get the kind of women he gets. You just pay money.

So gentlemen? I beg of you. Have a little pride. Just say no to CR7.

P.S. What the hell is a “diamante buckle”?

(Hat tip to Football Fashion. Be sure to stop by and look at the rest of the photos. They’re amazing. And of course I mean that in a totally WTF kind of way.)

Thanks for the kudos. These comments are hilarious. Great point about Halloween. However, I suspect that an outfit from the CR7 line won’t make a very cheap trick or treat outfit.

As a fashion student that grew up with Vogue (fashion bible). I declare that whoever its tempted to wear that (not even accepted in halloween ) Should burn in fashion hell. Cronaldo even if u see rappers wearing diamond buckles in their vids, they can pull off some dissent clothes. U don’t see P.Diddy wearing that chit. As laurie mentioned B4

Nelson, the teensy bit of research I did (clicking on one link) said that it was in Manchester, but I would be thrilled to not know enough about CR7 to be wrong.

I like the idea of dissent clothes.

It’s like a fashionista underground, fighting The Man (presumably either Dolce or Gabanna).

I see people dressed like this every day on the streets of Milano. It’s really hard not to laugh, but some of them have bodyguards.

It’s becoming increasingly difficult to be taken seriously as an anarchist soccer fan.

Wow, that guy is a real piece of work. Kind scary, even for Halloween.

    Thanks Laurie. Pretty funny.

Why would you buy shoes from someone who is well known for being unable to stay on his feet?
