Ozzy Osbourne Powered Football Club

ozzy.jpgAs we have seen in the past as well as today, the Beautiful Game can bring out the best in humanity. Here’s another story to add to the feel-good collection. A fan in Birmingham, England has formed a football club to promote a cause that is dear and near to his heart: Black Sabbath.

Garry Raybould has been trying to drum up support to make sure that Ozzy Osbourne’s band is properly recognized in their hometown. His vision includes the creation of a Walk of Fame in downtown Birmingham that would presumably include the city’s most famous rockers.

To help spread the word of this noble cause, Raybould has created “The Ozzy Powered Football Club,” a team that among other things wears shirts that read “Free Ozzy.” We thought that Ozzy’s freedom was, in fact, his problem, but we haven’t listened to Black Sabbath since 1981 so who are we to question this mission.

You can check out The Ozzy Powered Football Club website for all of the latest breaking news and if you are so inspired there is even an online petition you can sign if you can understand what the hell it is asking for.
