Panna-Mania

By: Daryl | July 17th, 2009

This video isn’t new, but it’s still great viewing. 40 pannas. Or nutmegs. Or tunnels. Whatever you call it, it’s one player slipping the ball between an opposition players legs (and collecting it the other side, of course).

The great thing about the panna/nutmeg/tunnel is that it’s a flashy move that anyone can do. You don’t need bags of skill to embarrass your opponent, just a half-decent sense of timing and the balls to try it. Want proof? See 0:25 in the video. That’s John O’Shea nutmegging Luis Figo.

Anyone can do a nutmeg, but only the best can make it flashy.

Good example is that one Riquelme did when he played for Boca.
