Paul Robinson’s New Title

By: chris | August 1st, 2008

If you’re a Blackburn fan, you’ve probably had a rough summer. First the Rovers lost up and comer Mark Hughes to Citeh, bringing in a green replacement with a big name. Then they swapped old hand Brad Friedel for the immensely disappointing Paul Robinson, before losing David Bentley to Tottenham this week - though they can take solace in that the Spurs Vaselined themselves properly beforehand and accepted their punishment (£15m worth).

Also this week, Robinson made his debut in a reserves game against Northwich Victoria, a Conference National side. They won 2-1, but let’s just say Robinson is inspiring absolutely zero confidence between the sticks, as you can see above, and the good people of the world have reflected that on his wiki page.

We can take two things from this:

1. Doesn’t get much better than Wikipedia, does it?
2. It would be in the best interest of Paul Robinson to get off to a blazing start this season, or else it could be a long one. Although when was the last time he did anything briskly?
