Peter Crouch can ask this Chinese Player about the Weather up there

Even with a billion people, the odds of finding a 6′9″ person in China are pretty slim. Now try to locate a 6′9″ person who happens to play professional football and you’re talking needle in a haystack.

Bolton Wanderers will have such a needle on trial for a few weeks. The club has announced that it is giving a month trial to Wuhan Huanghelou forward Yang Changpeng. The Chinese giant is a bit of a mystery. I’ve seen him alternatively listed as being 17 and 19 years old, as well as 6′8″ and 6′9″. Sadly, he is not to be found anywhere on YouTube.

Whatever the correct numbers, he reportedly has some skill and has represented China on the U-20 level. But besides that all I know is that somewhere Peter Crouch is probably smiling and hoping Yang sticks at Bolton so the title of Chief Premiership Freak can be passed on to someone else.
