Lorenzo, I was thining the same thing. Funny that Ribery and Bendtner both play for clubs that wear red and white. That with the shoes makes my eyeballs bleed.

I dont think they have a choice. They probably signed fat sponsorship deals with Nike. Nike makes new boots – you wear ‘em.

I am sure the huge piles of cash make up for the color.

Being allowed to use his arm to bring down the ball is likely to have helped Bendtner rather more than the boots.
