Photo of the Day: Beer Shower

One of the joys of playing in Germany? The beer shower.

According to Kickette, from whom I stole the photo, the shower recipient is Bayern Munich goalkeeper Michael Rensing.

I’ll leave the Freudian analysis for those who are better qualfied.

  This photo is new to me. I remembered after Bayern Munich was mathematically confirmed as the Bundesliga champions (this was in the 2007/08 season) with three matches to go (they were playing away at Wolfsburg and it was a goalless draw), beer showers all around.

  Even the now-former coach Ottmar Hitzfeld was not being spared as well at that time!
