I don't know if i would be a little scared to play football with a man who take an assault rifle. May be because i m too good at soccer and because men who take guns are usually such sore loosers.
  • Yeah, we should be teaching Iraqis to play pointy football

I remember footage of the Brits during the 2003 invasion of Iraq playing soccer with the locals shortly after the shooting stopped. Americans were tearing down statues and the British were passing out soccer balls...who has more experience with running an empire? You tell me.
  • But without the gun, it would be just another soccer photo. :-)

Yeah, it seems like if you're going to have a photo op playing soccer with a kid, it shouldn't look like you're about to shoot him. Then again, 250km from Baghdad isn't nearly far enough to not want to have a gun on you at all times I would guess. Still, you'd think the distraction of playing soccer would be enough that someone else was handling the shooting for a few minutes. Doesn't seem that safe.

Was there not anywhere safe to put that gun? Looks like he's about to take out the kids foot/knee.
