I’d go with robinho. kaka is capable of amazing things, but nothing that chelsea is already capable of. sure, he carries the ball well but that isn’t what we’re looking for, especially with scolari’s new style of play being imposed on the squad. what we need is someone who can give us width and attacking prowess in the final third and around the net. robinho provides that, and while he’s not a prolific scorer, he scores some magnificent goals and can definitely provide for drogba or any other forward.

2004-2005 and 2005-2006 premier league titles were won because of chelsea’s style of “power football” under mourinho, and part of executing that power is having flying wings – having lost damien duff and robben from those seasons, we need to find it in someone else. and robinho is the winger, not kaka.

i’d go robinho because we need a winger, and he’s also be useful as playing just behind drogba like he does for brazil.

Bringing kaka would probably upset our other more narrow midfielders, but if lampard doesn’t extend his contract (and even maybe ballack), we could always go for him next year if he and ac milan havent patched things up.

Chelsea certainly doesn’t need another attacking midfielder. So, Robinho it must be.
