Podcast: Top 5 Favourite Things About Sunday League Football/Amateur Soccer
By: Daryl | October 23rd, 2009
It’s Friday, so must be time for some shameless podcast related self-promotion. Taylor from Man Utd Offside and myself have been hosting the Total Football Soccer Show on WRIR, and posting the show as a podcast on Podcast Offside.
This week’s show (first broadcast on Thursday, October 22nd) was completely lacking in professionalism. But in a good way. We dedicated the 24 minute show to amateur soccer, interviewing Cary Wright and Mark Tarin from the CVSA to find out what goes into running a successful adult league, and then listing our “Top 5 Favourite Things About Amateur Soccer”.
Sean’s Weekend Warrior blog has some fantastic posts about amateur soccer, but it’s not something we’ve discussed too often here on the front page. So if you have any Sunday morning thoughts or experiences to share – be they triumphant or tragic – please do so in the comments.
For the podcast, your listening options are as follows: Click here for the mp3, click here to listen via Podcast Offside, or go all out and subscribe to the show via iTunes here.
