Prem Could Be Getting A Bit More Dangerous

By: chris | August 24th, 2008

In continuing with the theme of cool ass videos, the credit for this one goes completely to the player himself (and maybe a bit to the video editing team at Marseille). If you don’t quite know who he is, Lorik Cana is a defense mid and captain for both Marseille and Albania. He’s also a raging madman. A raging madman who has been linked with Everton and Arsenal recently.

If you’re an Everton or Arsenal fan, you’re loving this. If anyone else, you’re absolutely hating it. The quintessential “love him on your team, hate him if not” player and the absolute last man opposing players will want to see descending into a slide tackle. Kind of a a bigger, more raw Gattuso. Scary.

What he lacks for in footballing ability he makes up with complete insanity.

    And that’s a compliment.

A 5.5 minute highlights reel where he had 3 goals and about 150 fouls? I’m not sure why, as an Everton supporter, I’d be terribly excited about adding someone that is going to be spending more time on yellow/red card suspension than he does on the pitch to the lineup.

“Kind of a a bigger, more raw Gattuso”
There is no such thing. “Raw” is Gattuso’s middle name.

How many of those tackles did this guy actually get away with is what I’d like to know. Seriously, some of those look like they should be in a Jet Li movie.

Andrew, which ball, left or right? Because nothing he does have to do with foot ball.

Kinda genetic crisscross of Gattuso and Van Bommel.

That’s a brilliant video, BTW. Whoever made this really thought through how to connect the song with the visuals. I love how he synched tackles with guitar chords in the beginning.

    Total? or per season?
Looks like since 2000/1 he has had 3 red cards. Lots of yellow, though. Last season he got 11 yellow cards in 34 appearances.

He has already picked up one this season, too.
