PSG Fans Express Their Displeasure With Ownership
By: Laurie | February 1st, 2009
(Before I talk about this picture, take a look. Tell me if you see any females. I think I see maybe one. Maybe.)
These are the supporters of Paris St. Germain, a notoriously rowdy bunch, expressing their displeasure with current majority owners Colony Capital.
You may remember Colony from a couple of weeks ago as the ones who were less than happy with now-former PSG President Charles Villeneuve for [allegedly] seeking a cash infusion from Man City’s rich Qatarian owners. Without mentioning it to Colony.
Now Villeneuve is gone, there is no cash infusion, and supporters are less than happy. As evidenced by the banner.
(Hey, it’s better than this one, which almost cost their club the right to defend the Coupe de la Ligue title.)
I like PSG a lot, but they put the “fun” back in dysfunctional.

Didn’t they threaten to murder their players if they were relegated?

That was the rumor at the time. But some people think the fans only went as far as slashing players’ tires.
(PSG: The Amy Winehouse of Ligue 1. Or is it Britney Spears?)
