Favorite team besides the one you blog on?
My fav team besides The Crew would have to be Man U (if we can have one from across the pond)

The player you’d most like to kick a ball around with ?
I would love to kick the ball around with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Favorite ice cream?
All of them, or if I had to make a choice, Mint Chocolate chip.

Favorite on-the-field formation (4-4-2, 4-3-3, etc.)?
I like either a 4-4-2 or a 4-5-1.

Cats or dogs?
I like cats…they’re just easier.

Favorite non-Offside soccer blog (because obviously we’re your favorite) I like the BigSoccer site.

Last DVD you watched?
TV Show - Office Season two Disc 2

Who’s going to win the MLS Cup this year?
Gotta go with my team, Crew finish third in the division and win the cup.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up? First I wanted to be a firefighter, then a magician, then a US national team member then… a computer technician.

If you had to keep your eyes locked on one position (e.g. striker, goalkeeper, etc.) for an entire game, which would it be? Center-mid. I love to watch a great mid-fielder set up the strikers during an offensive run.

Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know. I had a subdural hematoma my senior year of high school and was told that I should play soccer (competitively) again.

The most games you’ve ever watched in a twenty-four hour period?
Probably three, I try to watch as many World cup games as I can.

Morning person or night person?
Night by choice, morning by trade.

Favorite national team outside of your own?
England.

Favorite TV show to watch in reruns? Simpsons

Favorite current player on any team?
Cristiano Ronaldo - Man U

Favorite comfort food?
Cake of any kind.

“Gruesome Soccer Injuries” video. Would you watch or not?
Probably not.

Favorite sport or physical activity to participate in?
I still play some indoor recreational soccer.

Best game you’ve ever seen?
The best game (probably because I was there) when the US played Mexico for the Gold Cup Final in Chicago.

Best pet you’ve ever had?
My cat Murry, he’s the only pet I’ve ever had (aside from some fish, but they’re more decoration than pets)

Tony Meola

What else would you like to say about yourself?
hmmm, not a whole lot I guess. Go Crew! Hopefully we’ll get some breaks this year and capitalize on them. I’ve got the grill and cornhole ready for road tripping to Columbus.
