Quiz Answers: Champions League Edition.
By: chris | May 3rd, 2009
I thought this week’s edition was a bit difficult but I was proven wrong, as a certain blogger has a strange “knack” for picking out the eyes of footballers. We’ll chalk it up to the fact that he’s an EPL blogger and three of the four teams are from England. Or so we hope.

Diego Forlan
Even though he, like most ManU fans, will want to forget it, Diego did play his home games at Old Trafford once.

Adrian Mutu
Much like the eyes before him, Adrian would like to forget his former team. Mostly because he still owes them about €15m for the most expensive line of coke ever.

David Bentley
Arsenal 1 – Tottenham -£15m.

Eric Djemba-Djemba
You don’t typically see ex-Fergie players spending their prime at a merely above average Danish club. Djemba-Djemba plays for an above average Danish club.

Fabio
This was dirty, I apologize. Yes, it’s a gifted young Brazilian fullback who plays for Manchester United – but it’s not headline-maker Rafael. It’s his identical twin.

Gabriel Milito
Current, perhaps soon-to-be ex-Barca player. He’s spent the last year in the stands and they clearly haven’t missed him.
Spotter’s Badge: Wayne

Eidur Gudjohnsen
Considering he’s played on both sides of the Barca-Chelsea matchup, this should’ve been easy.

Juan Pablo Sorin
The shrubs above the eyes give it away.

Tomas Rosicky
Yes, he still ‘plays’ for Arsenal. I think.

Mateja Kezman
Kezman, posterboy for the defensive woes of the Eredivise, has scored roughly as many goals in the five years since first donning a Chelsea shirt as he did in his final year with PSV.

Ronaldo (The Real One)
Oh yes, he’s a pretty boy.
Spotter’s Badge: Flippy

Pascal Cygan
See: Above.

What does David bentley have to do with the champions league?

United Kingdom

He used to play for Arsenal. Although “play for” might be the wrong phrase.
He played maybe once, before being sent out on loan and then eventually sold to Blackburn.

I realised…that’s pretty tenuous. As far as I’m aware he’s never played a champion’s league game.

Ah I’ve just read the original post, that makes a lot more sense now. Sorry.
