Radical Islam group wants to purchase Manchester United
By: Bob | August 8th, 2007
Attention Manchester United fans unhappy with the Glazer family owning your team. Help may be on the way. The radical Iranian group Ansar Hezbollah would like nothing more than to have Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Co. under their control.
And they have big plans for the club!
“Once we’ve bought Manchester United we’ll change its name to Khaybar,” Ansar Hezbollah’s secretary general, Mohammad Bagher Kharrazi, said.
The oasis of Khaybar, located near the Muslim holy city of Medina in modern-day Saudi Arabia was the site of a battle in 629 AD in which its Jewish inhabitants were defeated by the Prophet Mohammed and his followers.
Alas, Manchester United officials have denied the club is for sale. Party poopers. Maybe they should target FC United of Manchester instead.
