Real Madrid are eager to dance with Kaka
By: Bob | July 30th, 2007
Remember that really cute girl in middle school who you always wanted to ask to the dance but who wouldn’t even give you the time of the day? Day after day you would sneak a glimpse at her out of the corner of your eye, secretly hoping that she might notice you. Day after day she ignored you and hung out with the more popular kids. What does this have to do with football? Nothing. My therapist tells me it is good to talk about these issues. Real Madrid might want to see my therapist too.
Despite proclamations from Kaka that he is happy to stay with AC Milan and despite proclamations from AC Milan that Kaka is not going anywhere, Real Madrid continue to have puppy eyes for the Brazilian newspaper. According to reports from Spain (funny how the Spanish media is eager to present these reports), Madrid are prepared to offer Milan a transfer record $123 million so that they can slow dance to Journey with Kaka.
And Kaka’s financial representative Diogo Kotscho has admitted it could give the player a tough decision to make.
“Real Madrid are certain that that sum can make Milan change their idea,” Kotscho told Globoesport.com. “I believe that this is an opportunity that Kaka must think very hard about.”
That’s a lot of dough but the last time I checked AC Milan weren’t exactly strapped for cash and weren’t exactly eager to let one of the best players in the world walk away. Somehow I think that in the Kaka saga Real Madrid are going to end up forever scorned. It would be fun to watch if it weren’t so…*sniffle*…familiar.
