Real Madrid & CD Numancia Light Up Spain

Real Madrid stole the victory in another game filled with excitement, but CD Numancia is stealing the limelight – and maybe even a few hearts. After their shocking defeat of Barca on the opening weekend of La Liga they were gifted a trip to the Bernabeu – thanks, schedule makers – where it was assumed all would return to normal with a commanding Real victory after they also had a disappointing opening weekend. Nope. Seven goals later, all of them coming within the first hour, Real Madrid only snuck by with a home victory, coming back from a goal down twice and needing an own goal in the process. Could be a bit early, but I think La Liga may have found its Cinderella this year.

The rest of the goals, including a couple crackers from Jose Barkero and Rafael van der Vaart, after the jump.

1-1 Guti

1-2 Barkero

2-2 Higuain

3-2 van Der Vaart

4-2 Domingo

4-3 Moreno
