Real Madrid finally get the Hint about Kaka

By: Bob | October 29th, 2007

kaka-ambrosini-video-games.jpgIt seems like a lifetime ago when we all first heard the rumors that Real Madrid were trying to pry Kaka away from AC Milan and that AC Milan weren’t interested in letting him head to Spain. Since that day about a year and a half ago, the same scenario has played out over and over again. It has been like watching a nerdy boy asking the popular girl to the dance every week and getting rejection.

Finally, after all the courtship and all the tears underneath the school bleachers, Real Madrid have finally gotten the hint and have called off their pursuit of Kaka. That is the word according to their sporting director Predrag Mijatovic.

“(Real Madrid) can’t allow itself to waste too much time on something that is extremely difficult to obtain,” Mijatovic told Marca.

He added: “We’ve spoken a lot about this player over the past year and a half.

“Everybody likes him, but we know his situation and where he is playing, we’ll move on to something else.”

Just to be clear, Real Madrid can’t spend too much time on this. A year and a half is apparently not that much time.

Rumours persist that he’s holding out for a move to the Premier League though as well.

It is possible that Kaka can come, giving the fact that Ronaldinho is unlikely to stay in Barcelona. Berlusconi is a fan of Ronaldinho and won’t let him go anywhere.
