Reason #12,784,901 Why Twitter Is A Bad Idea: Darren Bent.

By: chris | July 31st, 2009

This is what D. Bent twoted today in reference to his current battle for an exit from Tottenham to…well, you can guess that yourselves:

“Seriously getting p***** off now,” was the message posted at lunchtime, followed by “Why can’t anything be simple. It’s so frustrating hanging round doing jack s***.

“Do I wanna go Hull City NO. Do I wanna go stoke NO do I wanna go sunderland YES so stop f****** around, Levy. Sunderland are not the problem in the slightest.”

A couple of thoughts:

i. Training to, you know, score goals might cure that whole “jack s***” problem. Although chances are he’s already in mid-to-late season form.

Don’t they realize Darren Bent is missing his prime here? This is the freakin’ preseason, the only time of year The D. Bent Show rolls into town. How’s he gonna nail down a big contract when he inevitably moves on from Sunderland if he has to use actual league game numbers to back up his requests?

ii. Twitter, much like procreation, needs to mandate IQ testing. Or at least ban athletes (that goes for procreation as well).

My bad I meant Bent! Err...wait a minute I think it was Defoe that got sent to the slammer for being a little too brown. In that case never mind what I said about Bent!

Give Defoe a break only a couple of days ago he was racially profiled by the English police for being a negro. He had to spend I don't know how many hours in some cell due to a "police error" and if he seems pisse* off, he is justifiably so. Screw Daniel Levy.
  • Bent deleted his Twitter now, haha.
