Reason No. 675 to kill your Brother: He turned off a Soccer Match
By: Bob | July 17th, 2007
Single children miss out on all the fun. Not only do they not have the opportunity to learn how to French kiss with their older sister’s friends, but they also don’t know what it is like to bond with kill your brother while watching a sporting event.
The heated Brazil-Argentina rivalry turned tragic in Uganda when a pair of brothers tuned in to last weekend’s Copa America final.
When Brazil scored two goals, Kyegombe, an Argentina fan, turned off the television set. This annoyed Naluswa, an ardent Brazil fan, and a scuffle ensued.
“Their father intervened and asked them to stop fighting,” a resident said on condition of anonymity.
But after Brazil won the match 3-0, Naluswa was not content. Wielding a knife, he allegedly trailed his brother and stabbed him as he entered his house.
I would never condone murder, but after watching the Posh special Monday night I can understand how television can lead to violence. About 20 minutes into it I was ready to take a knife to someone too: myself.

Wait, wait, wait, wait! Hold on here, first the guy who’s team won killed his brother who was on the losing side? Shouldn’t it be the other way around.
And Bob, are f-in’ serious?! You watched that crap. That is the kind of sh*t that keeps my TV unplugged.

I was busy packing last night, or I probably would have watched it too. What can I say - I love a good trainwreck. And posh is certainly that.

Brian has a point here about it being the one whose team won stabbing the other guy…it doesn’t make any sense. He’s so happy his team won 3-0 that he stabbed his brother? Definitely something more than just a soccer game at work here. (he stabbed another brother as well).

You beat me, Bob. I made it through four minutes of the Posh special before I was ready for hara-kiri. My son made if fifteen seconds.
