Relationship Lessons from Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo

Professional athletes can teach us a lot in life. They can show us the fundamentals of the game, how to perform under pressure and the importance of teamwork. They can also teach everyone of us a lesson in how to end a relationship with a hot significant other.

Today’s lesson comes from two of soccer’s biggest players. We’ll start with Thierry Henry who you know by now has departed England for Spain and who has ended his four-year marriage to a model. We learn today that TH14’s blissful home life turned sour because of those dreaded text messages. In this case, the texts came from a make-up artist he apparently met during a commercial filming. The Sun (of course) with the details:

The pair also exchanged a string of raunchy texts – but Henry’s wife Claire discovered them and showed the former Arsenal captain the red card.

A source said: “Claire suspected something was going on, and one day when Thierry left his phone lying around she picked it up and found messages from Sadie. The content of the messages left her under no illusion about what had been going on.

“She immediately rang the number and introduced herself, and the woman on the end of the line hung up.”

Henry is now set to have a £10million divorce payout. Those text messages better have been amazingly steamy.

Cristiano Ronaldo has come up with another way of ending a relationship with a hottie: sleep with prostitutes. That is what C-Ron did and that didn’t sit too well with his flame Gemma Atkinson. Again, The Sun doing God’s work:

“I did go out with Cristiano, but it all ended when he was caught sh*gging prostitutes.

“He didn’t dump me but I didn’t dump him – it just sort of ended. And now I’m seeing someone else, who is semi-famous.”
