Romario Scores 1000th* Goal; Video of his Top Ten

At long last we can put the Romario chasing his elusive 1000th goal story to bed. The Brazilian footballer reached the milestone on Sunday by converting a penalty for his 1000th or 929th or 751st goal. Whatever the actual number, there is little disagreement that in his prime he was a great player to watch. The video above shows the 1000th goal, followed by the jubilation, followed by some clips of the tens best goals from his career, which is set to come to an end sometime this year unless he can cook the books to show that he is close to reaching 2000 goals in which case he might play forever.
