People were counting out Raul a few years ago, but he's still going strong and is, what, 31 or something?

These stories are fishy in themselves. Why would Barcelona be holding out for such seemingly exorbitant figures for his transfer if Ronaldinho's state is as bad as made out here. And don't give the 'they don't know' rubbish.

He's out of form? yes. Injured? maybe. Lost his desire to play for Barce? likely. Finished? not by a long shot. He's 28 and if he wants to can easily still get into prime shape to have brilliant more years.

I don't even think Ronaldinho exists any more. He's just a figment whose sole purpose is to be linked in the press with moves to Milan and Chelsea.

I don't think Ronaldinho is completely finished. He might not be the same as before, but I do think that when he leaves Barcelona he'll perform somewhat better. The man isn't happy which definitely affects his play. In addition, I sure hope he doesn't have a career ending injury.

I don't think we'll see Ronaldinho 2006 again, but it's possible we'll see him at some point develop into a more mature player after a slump, the way that Anelka did. They've very different players, though. Like Rob, I miss the Dinho of old too, though I have to say I think he's a horrible choice for Man City. A club on the rise with probably a new manager hardly needs a potential locker room problem player to distract them.
