Ronaldo – The Comeback King

By: Daryl | March 26th, 2009

Don’t worry, we’re not going to write about every singe goal Ronaldo scores for the rest of his career. But in Corinthians 2-2 draw with Ponte Preta yesterday, the comeback king scored his third goal for Corinthians from the penalty spot and his fourth with the quick feet you can see above.

This means Ronaldo has already scored for Corinthians with his head, with his right and now with his left, as well as from the penalty spot.

Scoring in the Paulista might not be the same as winning the 2002 World Cup, but I can’t think of any other athlete who’s made so many successful comebacks from career threatening injuries.

Got to hand it to him, he’s brave. I did what he did, but only one one knee…and just the once. And I’m afraid to play football again. Nice to see him scoring still.

I haven’t seen a big man move like that since Shaq at the NBA All Star Game.
