RSS Feeds, Email Updates, New Blogs on The Offside
By: Bob | February 15th, 2007You might have noticed that in the past few weeks our little corner of the cyber universe has sprouted a number of new team blogs. There are even more on the way including one for the Russian football league, which gets practically zero English language coverage. The vision we have had all along is to offer up a place for fans that are passionate about football can come together to voice their opinions, have fun and to do it in a way that you don’t find in traditional media outlets. It is exciting to see this come to fruition thanks to the efforts of our bloggers, to our readers and to the tech dudes who somehow keep it all humming.
As we continue to offer up the chance for people to write for The Offside and to roll out more blogs, I’d like to remind you that you can keep up with everything via our RSS feeds and email updates. You can subscribe to receive updates of every post on the site or pick and choose from the various blogs. Or you can simply come to the site every day and see what you discover. Or you can wait for the carrier pigeons to deliver the posts to your home.
Thanks again for helping to make this all happen. I’ll be at your doorstep soon to give you a hug in person.

I know there’s practically no way to remedy this since this is entirely a volunteered venture, however as I look at the different Offside blogs, there’s one glaring flaw:
There’s pretty much no specialized coverage of the Spanish Liga, the best, if not second best, league in the football world. Not even a specific team or anything is covered, and yet there are four blogs for the EPL, and Scottish, French, and Italian league blogging. If anything, it’s one major component missing to this otherwise great blog.
Btw, keep up the good work

Careful, Mac. Complaining about lack of France coverage was how I ended up writing the France page.
(Bob, I think you just got a La Liga volunteer!!)
