Sarah Brandner: The New Mrs. Shevchenko

By: chris | December 1st, 2008

Bastian Schweinsteiger is, and let’s call a spade a spade here, an ugly bastard. An ugly bastard dude with money and fame, which tends to attract shallow beer-guzzling, pseudo-model types like Ms. Brandner over there. (See….nearly every WAG imaginable.) And they’re in love, which is nice.

But she’s not the only one who’s in love with Schweini, as Juventus has taken quite the shining to his peroxide-blonde ways (not forgetting that his contract is up in June) and want to whisk him away from Bavaria to heavenly Piedmont. Only Sarah doesn’t fancy Turin so much, and she’s holding up talks, which is pissing off the black & white suits a great deal.

Cobolli Gigli, not one to hold back his tongue:

“I saw photographs of her in the newspapers and she is a beautiful woman. However, a great player should not let his career be dictated by such matters.

“He should be given the freedom to choose the solution that seems most opportune purely from a sporting point of view.”

The old female pulling the transfer strings trick. That’s gone well recently.

So who wants to wager Schweini winds up in Milan next season?

Not a chance. He’s under 30 and not Brazilian.

Wow, you mean a person is actually consulting a loved one before changing jobs and leaving the country?

Maybe they are in love. Maybe he cares about her opinion… Why is that bad?

    Cripes.

    What johonna said.

But seriously, it isn’t beyond the realm of possiblity that they could live in or near Milano and that Basti could commute to Torino for training. The Elkaans could loan him one of their Ferraris and a test driver, and he could make it in a bit more than an hour each way.

Torino is an under-rated city, but I can see how it fail to impress someone used to Munich nightlife.

First of all: He is definitely not an ugly bastard.
Second: Every normal person would discuss moving to a foreign country with his family / wife / girlfriend.
Third: I’m happy he’ll stay at Munich until 2012…I don’t think he is able by now to establish himself in teams like Real Madrid, ManU or Juve. He needs to become a constantly good player first.
But he can do it, he’s talented. GO Schweini!
