Saturday Junk Pile: And then Totti Said to Mexès…

By: Laurie | February 14th, 2009

A few of the things that made me smile this week, but which weren’t big enough for an entire post:

That was when Francesco realized, much to his dismay, that Philou was not a natural blond.

Yup, I’m pretty sure they’re looking at a dropped bottle of hair dye.

(Spotted, sans caption, on Kickette)

Also, if you didn’t see this Tevez-to-Messi goal for Argentina this week, it was really pretty. Even if it did break my France-lovin’ heart.

Exactly how many defenders does it take to shut this boy down, anyway?

Also, I was looking at this photo of AC Milan’s Pippo Inzaghi and thinking, “Pavorotti, eat your heart out.”

What do you think? Who does “agonized Italian” better?

lol. i love the pictures of football players looking like they just got shot after missing a goal. there is a really good one of defoe kneeling down and screaming in such a way that it makes him look like he is getting eaten alive.

Funny, you saw Pavorotti and I wondered if that was also Pipo’s “O”-face.

I have just got to get my mind out of the gutter!

Johonna, I decided it was much classier to discuss opera. ;-)

Marco, that’s exactly the soundtrack my brain was playing when I first looked at that Pippo photo!

Only if Simone had listened to Pavorotti, he would have been equally talented…
